Can I wear the hood down without it looking bulky?
Yes. The hood lies flat against the back when it's down, so it doesn't bunch up at the neck. Loosen the drawstring fully and it sits soft and low.
Is this warm enough for fall, or is it more of a spring layer?
It's a light layer, best for mild days or as a mid-layer under a coat. On its own it's comfortable in the 55–70°F range with a tee underneath.
