How long does it stay lit at night?
After a full day of sun, it glows for about 6-8 hours. Plenty of time for evening dinners, gatherings, or just sitting outside.
Will the projection still show up on dark fences?
Yes. The colorful glow shows up best on lighter wood, but it still casts a clear pattern on dark fences and stone walls.
Can I leave it outside in the rain?

Do I need more than one?
One light covers about 3 feet of wall. For a long fence or full patio, most people use 2-4 lights spaced evenly.
