Will they still light up after a cloudy day?
Yes. A full sunny day gives 10+ hours of glow, and even on overcast days they still collect enough charge to light up for several hours after dusk.
Do I need to bring them inside in winter?
No. The glass casing and sealed housing are built for snow, rain, and sprinkler spray. Most owners leave them out year-round.
Can I use them on a patio or hard surface without the stake?
Yes. Remove the stake and they sit flat. Many people line them along patios, pool edges, and steps.
How far apart should I space them?
Most yards look best with one light every 2-3 feet along a path. A set of 4 covers a short walkway; 8 covers a longer driveway or full flower bed.
- Step 1: Take the discs out of the box and leave them face-up in direct sunlight for one full day to charge.
- Step 2: Push the included stake into soft soil where you want the glow — pathway edge, flower bed, around a tree.
- Step 3: Flip the switch on the underside to ON. They'll light up automatically at dusk from then on.
