My Dachshund has a deep chest — will this actually fit him?
Yes. The four adjustable sliders let you dial in the chest and shoulder fit separately, which works well for deep-chested breeds like Dachshunds and barrel-chested Pugs. Measure his chest circumference behind the front legs and match to the size chart.
Can I use this for a puppy who's still growing?
Yes, as long as her current chest measurement falls within a size range. The four adjustment points give you room to loosen as she grows, but most owners size up once between 4 and 8 months.
Is the included leash strong enough for a dog that lunges?
The leash is high-density nylon webbing with a sturdy metal clip, rated for small and medium breeds up to about 33 lbs. For dogs that lunge hard, we recommend attaching to the chest D-ring rather than the back.
Will the mesh get too hot in summer?
The mesh is breathable and lightweight, similar to athletic wear. Most owners use it year-round, but on very hot days keep walks shorter and rinse the harness after sandy or salty outings.
- Step 1: Unclip both side buckles and lay the X-frame flat against your dog's chest.
- Step 2: Bring the straps up over his back and click both side buckles closed.
