How long do they need to charge before the first use?
Leave them in direct sunlight for a full day before the first night. After that, they charge themselves every day automatically.
Do they work in winter?
Yes. They still charge on shorter, cloudier days — you may get slightly fewer hours of light, but they keep running. The shell is sealed against rain, snow, and frost.
Can I use them on a hard surface like a patio or gravel?
