Does this rug need an extra non-slip pad underneath?
No. The backing already has anti-slip dots built in, so it grips hardwood, tile, and laminate floors without anything extra.
How thick is it really?
The pile height is 1.5 inches (about 4 cm). It's plush and soft underfoot but not bulky — doors swing over it easily.
Will it shed a lot when it's new?
Some light fiber may come loose in the first week. A quick shake or light vacuum takes care of it. After that, shedding settles down.
Can I put heavy furniture on it?
Yes. Furniture won't damage the rug, though you may see temporary indentations. The pile bounces back once the weight is removed.
