Can the compartment be locked?
The compartment uses a press-to-open mechanism, not a key lock. It's built for concealment, not vault-level security — most users find that hiding in plain sight works better than any lock anyway.
What size items fit inside the hidden compartment?
The interior holds items up to about 15 inches long and 1.5 inches tall. That covers most watches, wallets, passports, jewelry boxes, small handguns, cash, and documents.
How much weight can the top of the shelf hold?
Up to about 25 lbs when mounted into a wall stud. The compartment stays securely closed even with weight on top.
Will it work on drywall without a stud?
Yes — the included drywall anchors hold it firmly. For heavier items on top, mounting into a stud is recommended for extra security.
