What happens if my child forgets the password?
Just remove the batteries for a few seconds and reinsert them. The password resets to the default (0000), and you can set a new one.
How loud is it?
There's a switch inside the door to change from voice mode to beep mode. Most parents prefer beep mode—it's much quieter.
Does it count the money inside?
No, this is a saving bank, not a counting machine. Your child will need to open it and count their savings manually (which is actually a great math exercise).
What size bills does it accept?
US dollar bills work perfectly. Very old, crinkled, or soft bills may need to be flattened first for the auto-scroll to grab them.
Step 1: Insert 3 AA batteries (not included) into the compartment on the bottom.
Step 2: Enter the default password (0000) and turn the knob to open.
Step 3: To set a new password: with the door open, hold the * button, enter your new 4-digit code, then press #.
Step 4: Close the door. Now only the password will open it.
