Is the fabric thin or see-through?
No. The polyester has a soft drape with enough weight to skim the body without clinging or showing through. The deep brown print also adds visual depth.
Does the waist actually cinch, or just hang?
The waist is built with seam shaping at the smallest point, so it pulls in even without a belt. The skirt then flares out to give the hourglass shape.
