How do the color patterns work?
The honeycomb-textured lens refracts the LED light into starburst shapes across the ground. The effect is strongest on flat surfaces like pavers, stone, or short grass, and softer on mulch or rough ground.
Do they work in cloudy weather?
Yes, just for shorter run-times. A cloudy day gives you about 6 to 8 hours of glow instead of the full 10 to 13. After a sunny day, expect a full night of light.
Can I leave them out in winter?
Yes. They're rated IP65 and built with ABS and crystal-look glass that handle rain, snow, and frost without cracking or fading.
How far apart should I place them?
About 2 to 3 feet apart along a path gives you the cleanest overlap of color patterns. Closer for more drama, farther for a softer trail.
- Step 1: Push the metal stake fully into the soil along your path, patio edge, or garden bed.
- Step 2: Twist the light head onto the stake.
- Step 3: Flip the small switch on the bottom of the light to ON, and choose your mode (steady warm or color-fade).
- Step 4: Place where the solar panel gets at least 6 hours of direct sun. They'll charge by day and glow automatically at night.
