Where exactly should I place it?
Set it near the edge of your sink so the tip of the leaf points inward. Water follows the vein channels and runs off into the basin instead of onto your counter.
Will it work with a big bar of soap?
Yes. The dish fits standard bar soap, including thicker handmade bars. Very long artisan loaves may overhang slightly at the tip.
