Is it safe for cats and small dogs?
Yes. The rounded tip design and skin-safe blade edges make it gentle enough for cats, kittens, and small breeds. Use light pressure and short strokes.
How often should I use it?
For heavy shedders, 2 to 3 times a week works well. For low-shed breeds, once a week is plenty. Don't over-brush — the coat needs some undercoat for insulation.
Will it work on a matted coat that's been left for a while?
Yes. Start with the 9-teeth side to gently break up the mat, then flip to the 17-teeth side to smooth the coat out. For severe mats, work in small sections.
How do I clean it after use?
Pull the loose fur off the teeth by hand or with a comb, then rinse the head under warm water and let it air dry. The stainless steel won't rust.
- Step 1: Start with the 9-teeth side. Run it gently through your pet's coat in the direction the fur grows to loosen mats and tangles.
- Step 2: Flip to the 17-teeth side. Stroke through the coat in short, light passes to pull out the loose undercoat.
