Can these cut through stainless steel?
These bits are designed for mild steel, aluminum, plastic, and wood. For hardened stainless or thick plate, use cobalt bits with cutting oil.
What size shank do they have?
All bits feature a tri-flat shank that fits standard 3/8" drill chucks and most drill presses.
Are the size markings easy to read?
Yes. Each step is laser-engraved directly into the steel for permanent, readable markings.
Do I need cutting oil?
For metal, light cutting oil extends bit life. For wood and plastic, no lubricant needed.
- Step 1: Select the bit that covers your target hole size.
- Step 2: Secure your workpiece. For thin sheet metal, clamp firmly to prevent spinning.
- Step 3: Start at low speed. Let the bit cut — don't force it. Use cutting oil on metal.
